Included in this lot is a framed Rouge River Hydraulic Mining Certificate originating from the 1870's. The certificate is for a transfer/ purchase of shares in the Rouge River Hydraulic Mining Company. The piece is printed in black, green, and red ink on yellowed paper with numerous blank sections to fill out. The piece is marked across the side with a record book slip on the side of the certificate. The piece is set into a painted wood frame. The piece shows very good condition, with some light wear across the frame. The piece frame measures 21 1/2" wide by 8 1/4" tall with the certificate measuring 13 1/2" wide by 4" tall.
