Roxbury Latin School was founded in 1645 in Roxbury, Massachusetts, by Puritan missionary John Eliot, making it one the oldest school in continuous existence in North America, initially serving as a preparatory school for Harvard College. The school was meant to provide Latin grammar education as a prerequisite for Harvard College. The photo shows the team standing and seated for the photo.
