Featured in this lot is this oil portrait of Oliver Cromwell c. 17th century by English artist Samuel Cooper born in 1609-1672. The portrait shows the likeness of Oliver Cromwell who was born in 1599 and died in 1658 and wasn an English statesman, politician, soldier and is widely regarded as one of the most important figures in the history of the British Isles. The painting is believed to have been done by Samuel Cooper born in 1609 and died in 1672 and was a English miniature painter and the younger brother of Alexander Cooper. The condition of this portrait is well preserved with some wear to the canvas artwork itself and the wood frame shows some wear and grime to the wood but otherwise shows well preserved. The measurements of this portrait is 11 5/8" x 10".
