Offered in this lot is an Original Signed Martin Linsey Watercolor, "San Miguel Santa Fe", 1988. Despite being partly color-blind, Martin Louis Linsey (1915-2010) was a leading artist. He exhibited and sold work widely and lectured for the Cleveland Museum of Art. For twenty years he worked in the Cleveland Museum of Art's education department. His work has been exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Butler Art Institute, the Cincinnati Art Museum, and many other institutions and museums. San Miguel Chapel, is a Spanish colonial mission church in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Originally built around 1610, it is often referred to as the oldest church in the United States. San Miguel Mission is constructed from adobe, with a singular rectangular nave and trapezoidal apse. The watercolor is signed and dated on the lower right corner. This original watercolor is in very fine condition and mounted on a matte board, no marring noted to the watercolor, minor soiling to the matte board. Measures 7.5"W x 9.5"L
