Featured in this lot we have a Savage model 1905 bolt action single shot rifle chambered in .22 long rifle. The displays a 22" long round barrel, walnut stock, adjustable sights, and schuetzen butt plate. The top of the barrel is marked reading "MANUFACTURED BY SAVAGE ARMS CO. UTICA. N.Y. U.S.A. - PAT. NOV. 28. 1905 MODEL 1905 22 S. L. L.R.". mechanically the rifle shows good working condition with a smooth action and crisp trigger. Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona where the rifle has been on display in their collection for multiple decades, Marge and Stephen Elliott collection with many items associated with John D. Gilchriese. The rifle comes with a museum display tag with information on the piece and the museums information code. The rifle shows good condition overall with some wear due to age and use. The piece weighs 4lbs 8oz. Serial Number: 32684. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic firearm, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
