Edward Curtis, Born in 1868 and died in 1952, was an American photographer and ethnologist best known for his extensive work documenting Native American tribes and their cultures in the early 20th century. His monumental project, "The North American Indian," aimed to capture the vanishing way of life of Native peoples, as they faced increasing pressures from U.S. expansion and government policies. The condition of this book is well preserved with very slight wear to the cover and browning to the pages but otherwise is well preserved. The measurements of this book is 8 7/8" x 11 7/8".
