For your consideration is a Scarce First Edition of "-And All Points West!", by William S. and Mary E. Hart, 1940, The Lacotah Press publisher. Provenance: Tombstone Western Heritage Museum, Tombstone, Arizona. William (Bill) Surrey Hart (1864-1946) was an American silent film actor, screenwriter, director and producer; Mary was his youngest sister and co-authored books with Bill. Hart was a close friend of Wyatt Earp, one of the Old West's most enigmatic figures, the legendary American Old West gunslinger, gambler, and lawman in Dodge City, Deadwood and Tombstone. Earp was involved in the gunfight at the O. K. Corral, during which lawmen, which included his brothers Morgan and Virgil as well as Doc Holliday, killed three outlaw Cochise County Cowboys on October 26, 1881. When Wyatt was wanting to have his story written, Hart assisted by contacting The Saturday Evening Post to publish a story about his legendary friend. Hart was one of the pallbearers at Wyatt's funeral three years later. "And All Points West!" is a western fiction book written by William S. Hart and Mary E. Hart, with illustrations by James Montgomery Flagg. It was first published in 1940 and is available in hardcover.
