Featured in this lot is this Schythian dagger (Akinakeas) 5th C. BCE Ex-Piscopo. The dagger features a wonderfully and professionally crafted iron construction that shows a straight blade with a hilt or handle for mounting and is a full tang blade. The blade still has an edge although the sharp edge has dulled. The condition of this sword or dagger is preserved with major oxidation adorning the blade and some disparaging wear to the structure of the blade but otherwise is in preserved condition. The measurements of this blade is 14 1/8" x 1 3/4" x 1/2". The collective weight of this sword or dagger is 6oz.
