Included in this lot we have a collection of two Mauser bayonets with their original metal sheaths. The first of the bayonets is a German M1871/84 Mauser bayonet with its original metal scabbard. The piece is marked on the guard reading "22036" with the pommel faintly marked "HS.FP". The second piece is a Yugoslavian M1948 rifle bayonet for a Mauser with its original metal sheath. The bayonet is marked in a number of places reading "????????? 44" on the blade and "52043" on the guard. The sheath is also marked "52043" and "44" on the front. The bayonets are in good condition overall with some wear on the German bayonet. The German bayonet measures 14 1/2" long overall with 9 5/8" long blade and the second measures 15" long overall with a 9 3/4" long blade.
