This is an excellent handwoven flat weave rug by master weaver Ali Bautista using 100% soft fine handspun Angora Wool in an amazing Shonto Flower pattern. The rug was handwoven with a tight weave using 100% locally handspun Angora Wool and Churro Wool blended yarn that offers natural variegation and durability with color fast aniline dyes. Tight handwoven weave displayed with bold colors in the fine Shonto Flower pattern in the time-honored Zapotec multi-generational craft by a master weaver, Ali Bautista. This bold and beautiful rug shows a fantastic Navajo Trading Post Old Crystal J.B. Moore Pattern styling showing a heathered brown background with two diamond medallions in cream and serrated dientes red with a fleece green and pastel mustard yellow central diamond at the very center of each. The rug is further accented by a third diamond shape and a strong tan / brown, cram and black border. The piece is in brand new condition with fine tight weave. The nice large rug measures 5’ by 8’ (5 foot by 8 foot). This is a contemporary rug hand woven by Ali Bautista, a Zapotec Indian from a small weaving village, in amazing natural dyes and wool.
