This is an excellent handwoven flat weave rug by master weaver Cesar Hipolito using 100% soft fine handspun wool in an amazing Montanitas Meli pattern. The rug was handwoven with a tight weave using 100% locally handspun wool yarn that offers natural variegation and durability with color fast aniline dyes. Tight handwoven weave displayed with bold colors in the fine Serrated Diamonds pattern in the time-honored Zapotec multi-generational craft by a master weaver, Cesar Hipolito. This bold and beautiful rug shows a fantastic Navajo Third Phase Chief’s Blanket Pattern styling with showing the traditional linear pattern alternating in pastel colors of dark browns, tans, reds, yellow and blues with nine-spot diamond patterns, serrated zig-zags and bands. The piece is in brand new condition with fine tight weave. The nice medium to large rug measures 2.5’ by 5’ (2 foot 6 inches by 5 foot). This is a contemporary rug hand woven by Cesar Hipolito, a Zapotec Indian from a small weaving village, in amazing natural dyes and wool.+ 6+3
