In this lot are a wooden crate and box, as well as a like-new Signal Corps US Army radio transmitter BC 684-B. This radio transmitter is from 1947, given the shipping date on the outside of the box. It is serial no.4285, order # 15159, Phila-44, made by Western Electric New York. This is a VHF-transmitter: frequency range 27-38.9 MHz, with 10 crystal controlled channels preset, NBFM, with 20w output power. The case of this transmitter is metal with black paint. The "tubes" appear intact in the back. This radio is in its cardboard box inside the wooden crate that it was originally shipped in. The radio measures 18" X 9" X 11 1/2". The radio by its self weighs over 66lb, not including the wooden crate.
