For your bidding pleasure in this lot is a collection of three signed, first edition books about Montana. First is a 1958 first edition of “Lucky: Montana Cowpoke” by J. Spencer Watkins. J. Spencer Watkins retired to Bozeman Montana. This book was written at the best of times for a young cowpoke in Montana. The book is bound in grey linen with a black title and author on the spine. The dust jacket is still with this book, which is in very good condition. The book measures 8 1/4" x 5 ¾" x 1/2". The next book is “The Battle for Butte Mining and Politics on the Northern Frontier, 1864-1906" by Michael P. Malone. Malone was the Dean of the graduate school at Montana State University. This book is bound in black with gold embossed on the spine. The dust jacket is intact for this book, too. This book measures 9 ¼" x 6 1/4" x 1" and is in good condition. The last book is “Close to Home: Photographs” by Richard S. Buswell. This book is filled with striking black and white photos. Richard Buswell's photographs have had 39 solo museum shows and were in over 230 museum group exhibitions. He lived in Helena, Montana. The jacket of this book is also signed by the photographer who took Buswell's photo for the jacket, Lee Silliman. The book is bound in grey, and the dust jacket is still intact. The book measures 11 1/4" x 8 3/4" x 1/2" and is in very good condition.
