Offered in this lot we have a signed Navajo Native American hand painted pottery vase. The vase shows wonderful hand turned shape with hand painted and etched designs across the surface of the piece. The painted designs show the image of a teepee with small clusters of trees to each side along with seven horizontal going across the piece at varying levels. The etchings augment the painted designs by adding some detail to the tent and adding the images of mountains behind the trees. It also shows a angular geometric patterns partitioning the painted images. The piece shows three sections of color with the first being a color gradient of grey, yellow, and orange between the first two bands, light blue seen between the 2nd and 3rd, and with grey between the 5th and 6th. The vase is signed on the bottom reading "C. H. Navajo". The piece shows good condition overall with some wear indicative of use, but showing no cracks or chips.
