Featured in this lot is this silver mounted bridle bit collection, circa early 1900's. There are three bridle bits in this collection. The first bit shows an interesting short straight shank bridle bit construction with a high port curb design. The second bit is a round wrought iron, 5" drop shank with silver mounting to the shanks of the bit and a wide port curb design. The last bit is a unique triangular curb design with double sided silver mounting and a 5 1/2" drop shank design to the shanks of the bit. The condition of this collection of bridle bits is good, with no obvious signs of damage and good, well-kept examples of silver mounting for the age of the bits. The measurements of these bits are 5 5/8" x 5 7/8" x 1 3/4" to 9 1/8" x 5 3/4" x 3".
