The lot features a full size cradleboard papoose with beadwork from the late 20th Century Sioux. The piece has a classic Sioux pattern with wood frame cradleboard with tanned hide leather papoose beautifully accented by beadwork. The beadwork is all loom beaded in glass pony beads in a geometric pattern showing colors of white, yellow, black, light blue, orange, and red. The wood has a bevelled carved wood design and is in a black color, accented by brass covered metal tacked design with red and dark blue wool stroud trade clothe strips as well as wound glass and cast glass large padre beads in various colors. The cradle board has ribbon and plume feather drops. The piece is of a full large size and displays very well. Measures overall 36"L by 18.25"W not including the fringes or feathers.
