The piece shows a beaded hide and trade clothe doll from the Sioux Native American Indians. The piece shows a polychrome painted face, a unique attribute along with a braided black clothe immitation hair with beaded hide fringe at the end of the braids. The doll is wearing a thick red trade clothe wool dress with glass trade seed beadwork in chalk white, blue, red, black, cobalt and more. The dress has black dyed lines and holds a vintage etched silver style metal concho belt at the waist. The doll also exhibits beaded moccasins, beaded leg cuffs, a beaded bag, beaded knife sheath and rear beaded bag as well along with a beaded hair piece. This doll measures 12 1/2" tall by 8 1/2" wide.
