The lot features a nice set of smaller beaded hide leggings from the Sioux Native American Indians from circa 1890-1900’s. The set shows an Indian tanned hide with a red stroud trade cloth edge and glass trade seed beads in a linear geometric design. The beadwork shows trade thread sewing with colors of Cheyenne pink, medium green, greasy green, and lavender blue. The leggings show all the original, thin hide ties and two thick nesses of Indian tanned hide. The set is likely from a small woman or child. Overall, the leggings are in a good condition, with little bead loss and nice supple hide. Each measures 11.25”L by 5.5”W.
