This is a fantastic mid-20th Century beaded doll from the Sioux Native American Indians. The doll shows braided hair, likely real human hair or horse tail hair, along with Indian tanned buckskin hide with glass trade seed beads in geometric patterns. The doll shows a beaded war shirt / warrior shirt with buckskin hide wrapped braids and beaded moccasins that slip on and off as well as a beaded necklace. The doll has a fringe border along the shirt. The piece is well kept with soft hide and little to no bead loss. Measures overall 11.25"L by 5.5"W.
