The lot features two tomahawk war club drops with a Sioux and Chippewa styling. The first is the quilled example which shows Indian tanned hide with dark blue trade blanket clothe backing and all porcupine quill quillwork with colors of yellow, red, and purple with fringe of rolled tin jingle cones. The other example is Sioux in style with beadwork of chalk white, cobalt, blue and red all glass with blue trade clothe, long hand cut Indian tanned hide fringe and round brass accents all done on thick Indian tanned hide. The se are done in the styling and manner of the American Indians with a modern age and unknown origin. Quilled example is 15.25”L by 2.5”W. The beaded example is 24”L with fringe and strap and 4.5”x 3.5” overall.
