This is a terrific fully beaded dispatch or document bag from the Sioux Native American Indians of the 19th Century. The bag shows a wonderful traditional geometric design extending to both sides and all in period correct glass trade seed beads in chalk white, Cheyenne pink, semi-transparent red, greasy yellow, faceted brass, semi-transparent dark blue and semi-transparent green. The bag would have been used for the storage and transport of important documents and as such shows a fine beaded pattern and wonderful craftsmanship. The piece appears to be in good overall condition and measures 10.5‰ÛW x 7‰ÛH.
