The lot features a unique set of fully top beaded hide moccasins, with hard soles, a unique turtle effigy figure, and bifurcated tongue, from the Sioux Native American Indians. The set is likely mid-20th Century and shows a cotton thread, Indian tanned hide top and parfleche rawhide, hard sole bottom. The tops show glass trade seed beads with a white background and large turtle effigy figure. The angle shows a fancy beaded border and the tongue has a nice, large size with bifurcated (split or forked) finish, all being adorned with beadwork. The set is in good condition and of a nice, large size, showing little bead loss and a soft top hide. Each measures 10.5”L by 4.25”W by 4”H.
