For your consideration is this Third edition copy (1897) of "Sketches of Frontier and Indian Life On the Upper Missouri and Great Plains". The author, Joseph Henry Taylor, printed and published the books himself. This third edition was re-written after the author had taken a 2,000 mile journey in 1896. According to his preface, his trip had brought to light "imperfections" of the previous two editions and had shed new light on the subject matter for him. The first edition was 200 pages long; this third edition is 306 pages long. The book is illustrated from wood engravings and photographs. Please note: This is a re-bound ex-library book From the Butte-Silverbow Public Library. It was in the Reference Montana Case and not circulated. The book is in very good condition, having only the normal library markings. It is re-bound in sea-green with purple decoration on the boards and blue title on the spine. The binding is tight and the book is in very good condition. It measures 5" x 7.5" x 1".
