For your bidding pleasure is a Smith & Wesson "Baby Russian" revolver. The Baby Russian as it is nicknamed is the Smith & Wesson 1st Model No. 2 revolver. Chambered in 38 S&W, this five shot single action revolver is in great shape for its age. Pinned blade front and notch rear sights, with the 2 line address/ patent dates reading "Smith & Wesson Springfield Mass USA Pat'd Jan. 17& 24, 65" and "July 11, 65. Aug 24, 69. Jan. 19 1875. Reissue July 25 1871" on top of the rib. Matching numbers are present on the frame, barrel latch and cylinder. The barrel, frame and cylinder show a rich patina in the blu'd finish. Hammer and trigger are checkered, and the grips are checkered with diamond patterns around the screw and "S&W." in circles at the top. This gun is an Antique and an FFL is not required.
