The revolver is marked with engraved gold filled initials "CS" on the left side of the frame. The top of the barrel is marked reading "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. U.S.A." with the left side of the barrel reading "44 S.&W. CTG". Mechanically the revolver is tight and locks properly with smooth action and crisp trigger.
