This is a Smith & Wesson 2nd Model Safety Hammerless "Lemon Squeezer" revolver chambered in .32 S&W caliber. The revolver shows a nickel frame, cylinder, and 3 ½” barrel with black hard rubber grips. The barrel is marked "32 S.& W. CTG" on the left side and "Smith & Wesson Springfield Mass. Pat'd Feby. 20. 77. Dec. 18. 77. May 11. 80. Sept. 11. 83. Oct. 2. 83. Two Aug. 4. 85." on the top. The Safety Hammerless is nicknamed the "Lemon Squeezer" because the safety must be squeezed in order to fire the gun. The Smith & Wesson Safety Hammerless revolver is in good condition and has retained much of the original. The trigger guard also retains its original bluing and the case hardened hammer shows flashes of color. The barrel is bright and shows crisp rifling. The firearm has matching serial numbers on the frame and cylinder. The gun appears to be in good operational and mechanical condition and was manufactured from 1902 to 1909. The gun comes with an oversized leather holster. Serial Number: 156993. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
