For your consideration are two Smokey The Bear cardstock signs, circa 1970 to 1980. The first in this collection shows a black background with the word "Think" pasted throughout the poster, ending with the word "Thanks" in red lettering. In the center is Smokey the Bear wearing his iconic hat, looking directly towards the viewer. This poster was presented by the U.S. Department of Agriculture - Forest Service And Your State Forester. The second cardstock poster in this collection shows a burnt down forest and building with the top reading, "It started as a simple trash fire". In the bottom left it shows a small box with Smokey the Bear in his hat with the top reading, "Only You Can Prevent Forest Fires". This poster was presented by the U.S. Department of Agriculture - Forest Service And Your State Forester. The posters show fair to good condition with wear present to both, but the second one exhibits more wear and repaired tears. The posters measure 18 1/2" L x 13" W.*
