Featured in this lot are two solid, decorative ivory spheres with wood stands circa 19th Century. These antique carved ivory spheres are thought to be decorative but 19th Century billiard balls were commonly made from ivory up until the early 1900s. The larger ball would act as the cue ball while the smaller ball might have acted as a small snooker ball. The two show colors of beige, cream, light brown and black webbing throughout. Both spheres sit in a small wood stand. The pieces show good condition overall with little to no wear present. The spheres measure from 7 3/4" in circumference to 5 11/16" in circumference. The wood stands measure 2 9/16" in diameter and 5/8" in height. They have a collective weight of 10 ounces.
