Featured in this lot are these South African, Zulu tribal male garment adornments. There are three garment items in this collection. The first is a Zulu, or bushman, hunting bag constructed from tanned hide, featuring red pink and translucent red African trade seed beads. The next item is a pair of South African bushman sandals with a three strap design; the sandals appear to be constructed from reused materials. The last item is called a Zulu Mcedo, or a penis tip cover in English, and is woven from grass and banana leaves. The condition of these garments is good for their age, with wear and patina consistent with age and exposure of the items. The measurements of these adornments are 13 3/4" x 12", and for the sandals 9 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 1 1/4" and for the Mcedo 1 1/2" x 2 1/4" x 2".
