Featured in this lot is this pair of double mounted silver spurs attributed to Stan Ruano. The spurs show double mounted silver, stainless steel, California style construction with both spur strap lags mounted with engraved silver buttons, as well. Stan Ruano was born in Ventura, California and has been around horses his entire life. He learned to make his first bit at age 15 and has worked at breaking and training horses, while making bits and spurs, as well. He prefers to make bits and does mostly overlaid silver with excellent engraving. The condition of this pair of spurs is good, with no obvious signs of damage; the spurs show oxidation and patina consistent with the age of the spurs. The measurements of this pair of spurs are 5" x 4 1/2" x 1 1/8".
