For your consideration is this Standard Electric Time Company red oak wall clock from Springfield, Massachusetts. The Standard Electric Time Company was a Springfield, Massachusetts company founded in 1884, and was a manufacturer of synchronized clock systems and fire alarm systems. They were the oldest manufacturer of electric clocks in the United States. The company was acquired by Johnson Controls in 1970 and then Faraday in 1978. The clock is encased in a large circular red oak wood case and features a white background with black accents and roman numerals. In the lower middle of the clock it reads, "The Standard Electric Time Co. Springfield, Mass.". The clock is wired, no battery operation. The clock has not been tested for functionality. The clock is in good condition with no signs of obvious damage. It measures 16 1/2" diameter and 4" depth.
