Featured in this lot is a limited edition, fine pewter sculpture by renowned sculptor Don Polland titled, "Saddle Bronc Rider" made in 1978. The sculpture depicts a cowboy riding a bucking bronco. The bronco is reared up while the cowboy almost stands straight up on the broncos back. Don Polland nailed the poetry in motion aspects of this classic rodeo event. The front of the sculpture features the title, "Saddle Bronc Rider", while the back features the sculptor's signature and the date it was made, "© Polland 1978". The back also is numbered "260/2,500" showing that it is a limited edition piece. The top of the solid wood base is marked with another date and artists signature reading, "Don Polland 11-14-85". On the bottom it features the title, the sculptor's signature, that it is a limited edition of 2,500, the copy right date "1978" and the presenter "Chilmark Fine Pewter U.S.A.". This piece shows fine detail and craftsmanship. Overall the piece is in good condition with no signs of damage or wear. It measures a diameter of 3 3/4" and a height of 6 3/4".
