For your consideration, a Stanley Rabbet Plane and a Keen Kutter Plane. The No. 181 Rabbet Plane is a small cast iron plane with a japanned finish made by Stanley from 1886-1918. The plane is marked on the inside, "No 181 Stanley"; the top of the iron is marked, "Stanley Rule & Level Co. The plane measures about 10 1/4" x 1 1/4" x 4 5/8". The Keen Kutter was also made by Stanley from 1913-1940 (Stanley Rule & Level) and branded, "Keen Kutter" for Simmons Hardware Company, which was based in St. Louis. The metal plane features a wood handle and knob and a corrugated foot. The plane is marked, "K5 1/2" on the bed and had the Simmons Hardware Logo appears on the back of the iron. The plane measures 14 3/4" x 2 5/8" x 5 5/8". Both planes are in good condition, though the japanned finish has mostly come off of the handle and the Keen Kutter's wood handle has been repaired.
