Featured in this lot are three serving trays made from coin silver, sterling and silver plate on copper circa 1900s. The first and largest tray is constructed of silver plate on copper and is marked on the bottom reading, "Old English Reproduction Silver Plate on Copper / B.M. MTS / B46175". The "B.M. MTS" mark means Britannia Metal Mounts, which is a mixture of tin, aluminum and copper. The piece shows floral designs around the rim and on the bottom of the tray. The second and middle size tray is constructed of sterling and is marked on the bottom reading, "Sterling 797". No makers marks are present. The piece shows a cut geometric design along the rim of the tray and shows initials or geometric design on the base. The third and smallest tray in this collection sits on four small legs and shows two intricately cut handles for carrying. The inside of the base is marked ".900 KK". The ".900" mark shows the the piece is constructed of coin metal while the "KK" could be a makers mark. The bottom is engraved reading, "From Turkish Staff / Care Turkey". The pieces show good condition overall with wear and patinas present from their age and use over the years, but no signs of major damage is noted. The trays measure from 9 7/8" L x 4 1/16" W x 2 1/8" H to 11 3/4" L x 7 3/8" W x 1 1/4" H. The three trays have a collective weight of 1 pound and 12 ounces.
