Included in this lot is the Rare First Edition of, "Story Of One Hundred Years" by Daniel B. Shepp, published by Globe Bible Publishing Company, Philadelphia, 1900. With over 100+ vivid illustrations"Story of One Hundred Years: A Matchless Record of the Greatest Century of Historic Time; A Comprehensive Review of the Political and Military Events, the Social, Intellectual and Material Progress, and the General State of Mankind in All Lands. Embodying detailed and accurate accounts of all things of importance and interest, from 1801 to 1900, Inclusive". Written "for the masses", this book highlights the major world events during the 19th century. While the book covers US and foreign political ideas and events, it especially emphasizes scientific and technological advancements of the century. Viewed through the lens of history past, the 19th century indeed was the century of more advances than any period in combined history. This blue cloth bound gold gilt hardcover book is in good overall condition, stamped vignette on front cover and spine, scuffing noted to cover edges, loose spine. Intact pages exhibit age tanning and very minimal foxing noted. No other obvious marring seen, measures 7.5"W x 9.75"L x 1.75"D
