For your consideration is a stunning Longhorn 16” ornately engraved roping saddle. The Longhorn brand is closely tied to that of Billy Cook. Billy Cook opened shop in Greenville, Tx. many years after serving a time in the military where he had met Bill Potts. They partnered because Billy had the shop and Bill had the money. It became Billy Cook Saddlery/Potts Longhorn. The Billy Cook saddles were the upper line saddles, and Longhorns were the lower line. This saddle has a 16” felt seat and 7” gullet. The skirt, fenders, and jockey all show a beautifully tooled design. The top of the horn has a stamped silver concho. This Longhorn saddle comes with a breast collar. This saddle does show signs of use but has a lot of life left in it. The saddle is missing the Blevins sleeve on the left fender. The saddle measures 27 ½” long and 17” tall by 20” wide.
