This child's horse has been expertly handcrafted by Lakota artist Supaya Gary Wolfe. It is crafted of soft hide and signed “Supaya G. Wolfe ‘Many Tears’ 36/400". Supaya Gray Wolfe has won best of show and Best Artist-Leather winner at the Western Design Conference in Cody. Supaya returns to the Western Design Conference show each year and is a popular well-known Native American artist who lives on the reservation in a traditional lifestyle. The war pony comes with a tag that reads "War Pony #36/400”. Many Tribes depend on the horse for travel and hunting. Some were caught in the wild and some were from the U.S. Calvary. This horse is made of leather and the inside contains grass, sage, and rock. The pony features flag style material glass beads, feather, handmade cone, and horse hair. The piece was Native American hand made by Supaya Wolfe, "Many Tears", for Arizona Thunder (520-432-1200). This handcrafted horse is in very good original condition.
