Included in this lot is a Synchron Dr. Scholl's light up clock made by Price Brothers Inc. Price Brothers was founded in 1926 by Louis Price, who was an early advertising pioneer in Chicago, Illinois. Louis was the only founder of Price Brothers Inc., also known as Price Bros., and only used the “Brothers” in the company name because he thought it sounded more professional. Price Brothers Inc. was a manufacturer of point-of-purchase, metal cast signs, and display advertising. For decades, Price Brothers manufactured directional signs, including up-and-down signs and arrows for Sears stores worldwide and advertising found on cash registers, behind bars, and in pharmacies. This Price Brothers piece features a light up clock with "Dr. Scholl's Shoes" underneath the sign. The sign has a cord; the clock works when plugged in, but the light does not. On the back of this piece is a Synchron label, along with a "Pierce Brothers Inc." sticker and a "Union Made Fabrication" sticker. This piece is in great condition for its age, with only a few small scratches on the back and a few small chips in the glass on the clock. The piece measures 12 1/4" by 11".
