Featured in this lot is this T. Hausmann & Sons sterling silver suspender drops circa 1900 and were displayed in the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. There is one full pair of suspender drops and one single by itself. both makes of suspender drops are made and stamped 'T. Hausmann' and 'sterling'. The first pair shows an intricate decoration at the center of a ring with a swivel that houses the drop chain. The second model is finely stamped or carved with the same decorative logo on plate sterling silver with a housing that takes the drop chain in. T. Hausmann & Sons was a distinguished jeweler and silversmith firm based in New Orleans, known for producing fine jewelry and specialty silver goods in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Among their unique offerings were sterling silver suspender drops (ornamental accessories that hung from men's suspenders) combining functionality with decorative appeal. These drops often featured detailed engraving and fine craftsmanship, appealing to gentlemen of fashion in both urban centers and frontier towns.
