Featured in this lot is this beautiful, Ted Flowers leather silver horse bridle & aluminum bit from the 1945-1950's. Edward Anderson “Ted” Flowers (1914–1976) was a renowned Indiana-based saddlemaker who revolutionized the "blingy" Western parade saddle industry during the 1940s–1950s. Operating from "The Spot Shop" in Alexandria, Indiana, he created highly ornate, heavy silver-decorated saddles for celebrities like Roy Rogers and Gene Autry, often using German silver, stainless steel, and 14K gold inlay. The bridle shows a leather construction with silver mount diamond and triangle shapes throughout the piece. Ornately tooled designs can be seen on the buckles as well as the diamond and triangle shapes. The bit features an aluminum construction with tooled designs and a copper bit. It shows good condition overall with some slight wear present from its age and use over the years, but no major signs of damage is noted. It measures 25 3/8" L x 7 1/2" W x 9" H and weighs 2 pounds and 8 ounces.
