In this lot is a Terry Isaac original of a Polar Bear scenting the air. This is the "Bon a Tirer" that was approved for prints to be made from and is marked B/A 1/1 and signed in the lower right corner. However, it doesn't appear as if prints were ever made of this piece, so it is one of a kind. The art is done in pencil and watercolors. Terry Isaac (1958-2019) painted North American wildlife and landscapes, in addition to animals and birds of Africa and Asia. Although he received a formal art education, he felt his best training came from fieldwork and from studying the works of his favorite wildlife artists. Demand for Terry's originals has remained high, partly due to the fact that his technique of painting and the detail which he captured meant that he painted relatively few paintings per year. Many of his limited edition prints are sold out. Terry was an artist who strived to create works of art for collectors; he only printed a select number of his paintings, with very small edition sizes. The frame has some minor damage, but the art and mat are in very good condition. The art measures 12 1/2" X 6 1/2" and the frame is 24" X 18 1/2".
