This is a large Texas Longhorn Steer Horn carved spoon from the Southern Plains Indians of Texas. The piece shows a heavy thick horn with rich dark brown, to light browns, whites, creams and yellows. The horn has the typical early carved shape with tapering nice handle with pierced hole holding a tie of Indian tanned hide wrist throng fringe. The piece measures 11.25”L by 3.5”W.
