For your consideration are fifteen Franklin Library leather bound & gilt fiction books, presented by The Franklin Library circa 1976-80. The books in this collection are fictional and historical fiction, showing beautiful colors of leather binding and various designs of gold gilt on the spines and front covers. The edges of the paper are also gilted in gold color. The books in this collection are as follows - "The Fixer" by Bernard Malamud, "The Winthrop Covenant" by Louis Auchincloss, "The Last of the Mohicans" by James Fenimore Cooper, "The History of Tom Jones A Foundling" by Henry Fielding, "Guy de Maupassant Stories" translated by Roger Colet, "Candide or Optimism" by Voltaire translated by Tobias Smollett, "The Reivers A Reminiscence" by William Faulkner, "The Complete Stories" by Franz Kafka edited by Nahum N. Glatzer, "The Ambassadors" by Henry James, "Honore de Balzac" by Pere Goriot, "Early Autumn" by Louis Bromfield, "The Pilgrim's Progress" by John Bunyan, "The Town" by Conrad Richter, "Animal Farm" by George Orwell and "Treasure Island" by Robert Louis Stevenson. The books show good condition overall with little to no wear present and no signs of damage. They measure from 9 1/8" x 6 1/8" W x 1" D to 8 7/8" L x 6 1/4" W x 1 3/4" D and have a collective weight of 29 pounds and 8 ounces.
