For your consideration is this 1909 first edition of, Montana: The Land of Shining Mountains" by Katharine B. Judson, copy-righted by A . C. McClurg & Company and printed by R. R. Donnelley & Sons Company. This is an excellent book about the early days of the Fur Traders, Sioux, and Blackfeet; Custer's last stand; Flathead and Blackfeet Indians; and that era, with many images of territory, Indian chiefs, and Curly, Custer's Scout. There is also a segment about Montana's vigilantes and the Plummer gang criminals. Also included in the front pages of the book, is a colored, fold-out map of Montana. This copy is in good shape and is bound in green pictorial cloth with a pink flower against a mountain backdrop. Slight wear present to edges of the cover and one page slightly torn. No other signs of wear or damage noted. The book measures 7 1/2" L x 5 5/8" W x 3/4" D and weighs 1 pound.
