Featured in this lot is this 1965 first edition copy of “The Red Man's West”, selected and edited by Michael S. Kennedy from Montana, The Magazine of Western History, member of the Montana Historical Society. This is a collection of true stories of the frontier Indians. Illuminating the text are fifty remarkable photographs by the great photographer of the Indians, Edward Curtis, plus more than 100 other historic photos, reproductions of paintings by Charles M. Russell and W.H. Koerner and drawings by Fire Bear, the Assiniboine artist. The dust jacket features a design from Charles M. Russell's "Peace Talk",jacket is torn in places, condition of this book is good, with some pencil writing to the inside of the book and a prior owner's name stamped on both inside covers, no other marring noted.
