Featured in this lot is this 1965 First Edition of “The Red Man's West”, selected and edited by Michael S. Kennedy from Montana, The Magazine of Western History. This is a comprehensive collection of true stories and historical articles about the frontier Indians of the High Plains and the Rockies. This book has over one hundred and fifty historic photographs and illustrations and the artists include George Catlin, Edward S. Curtis, W. A. Huffman, and Charles Russel, and drawings by Fire Bear the Assiniboin artist. The red cloth bound book is in very good condition, very slight scuffing to cover edges, intact pages have very slight age tanning, foxing not noted, the front of the slipcase features the Charles Russell painting, "Peace Talk". Slipcase has some tears and yellowing but is intact. Measures 7.5"W x 10"L x 1.25"D
