This is an excellent hand-woven flat weave rug by master weaver, Julia Ruiz. The rug was made using 100% soft, fine, hand spun wool yarns in a beautiful Third Phase Chief's Cosre pattern. The rug was hand woven with a tight weave using 100% wool blend, which offers natural variegation and durability with color fast aniline dyes. The tight, hand-woven weave, displayed with natural fleece tones, is in the fine Third Phase Chief's Cosre pattern of the time-honored Zapotec, multi-generational craft by a master weaver, Julia Ruiz. This rug shows iconic Zapotec design with thick, symmetrical Third Phase Chief's Cosre design, a central diamond and a banded design of red, off white, black and brown coloration to the bands along with a zig zag pattern at either ends of the rug. The piece is brand new, in pristine condition, with a fine, tight weave. The rug measures 4’ by 6.5’ (4 foot by 6 foot 6 inches). This is a brand-new rug.
