Featured in this lot is this Tibetan Mani Cos 'Khor prayer wheel circa early 1900's. The prayer wheel features a beautifully tooled and decorated with a tooled design to the side walling of the wheel and features a prayer mantra rolled up inside the lidded vessel and shows a turned wooden handle. Prayer wheel, Tibetan mani chos 'khor, in Tibetan Buddhism, is a mechanical device the use of which is equivalent to the recitation of a mantra (sacred syllable or verse). The condition of this Tibetan prayer wheel is good with no obvious signs of damage and in good overall condition. The measurements of this Tibetan prayer wheel are 13 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 3 1/2".
