Each volume in the series is 240 pages long and includes numerous contemporary images and graphics. Titles include: "Loggers", "Gunfighters", "Indians", Ranchers", Women", "Pioneers", "Expressmen", "Cowboys", "Great Chiefs", "Scouts", "Miners", "Railroaders", and, "Trailblazers". They are bound in a padded faux leather hardcover binding with the series name, book title, and publisher printed in gold gilt on the spine. The front cover of the book features a glued-on oval-shaped image. A set of bull horns with a rising sun between the horns sits beneath the picture embossed in the faux leather, while the cover's outline is embossed with a rustic rope. The books show good condition overall with slight wear present from their age and use over the years, but no signs of obvious damage is noted.
