For your consideration is this Time Life The Old West book collection circa 1973-1979. When released, the collection featured twenty-seven books in total. The Old West series tells the history of the American Old West era, focusing on different topics in each book such as the cowboys, Native Americans, soldiers, railroaders, women, gunfighters and many more. Each volume in the series is 240 pages long and includes numerous contemporary images and graphics. They are bound in a padded faux leather hardcover binding with the series name, book title, and publisher printed in gold gilt on the spine. The front cover of the book features a glued-on oval-shaped image. A set of bull horns with a rising sun between the horns sits beneath the picture embossed in the faux leather, while the cover's outline is embossed with a rustic rope. The books show good condition overall with slight wear present from their age and use over the years, but no signs of obvious damage is noted. They measure 11" L x 8 5/8" W x 7/8" D and have a collective weight of 55 pounds and 2 ounces.
